Our Mission

The mission of Urban Born is to bring the beautiful art of Moradabad’s artisans to the western world. Five percent of profits go to increasing artisans’ wages, funding children’s education, medical clinics in villages, and wedding expenses. (It’s very costly to get married in India, so we put some of the profits into helping artisans cover their children’s wedding expenses.)

We’re confident you and your family will love your Urban Born terrariums! And you can rest easy knowing your purchase is ethical and is making a difference in the lives of underappreciated artisans. You are giving artisans the means to take care of their families and live dignified lives. And we think that’s pretty cool of you.
